CEEALAR advances education, learning and research through the provision of free/subsidised living accommodation, helping to alleviate bottlenecks to desk work in the effective altruist (EA) community.
Do you like this initiative, and want to see it continue for longer, on a more stable footing, and at a bigger scale? Do you want to cheaply buy time spent working full time on education and research relating to EA, whilst simultaneously facilitating a thriving EA community hub? Then we would like to ask for your support.
With current funding our runway extends to ~May 2023. We are seeking funds to extend our runway to 18 months. Our costs have recently increased and are now ~£10k/month at capacity (we’ve upped wages, and energy prices have massively increased). Note that all funds raised so far have been put towards costs from 14th May 2019 onward. Founder Greg Colbourn covered the first year (ending 13th May 2019), and donated the building to CEEALAR.
